As Mailstand is still in beta, we have to connect to Google accounts via IMAP/SMTP versus standard OAuth. We are working on gaining approval from Google, but in the meantime you will have adjust your mailbox slightly to connect to our platform. Note, if you're connecting free @gmail accounts you can skip steps 1 and 2.

Step 1: Turn On Less Secure Apps On The Admin Level

If you have a Google Workplace account you need the admin to turn on Less Secure Apps.

To manually navigate you can go to admin.google.com > Security > Less Secure Apps

โ€‹

Step 2: Allow Per-User Outbound Gateways On Admin Level

Have your admin, go to admin.google.com > Apps > Google Workplace > Gmail > End User Access and turn on "Allow Per-User Outbound Gateways"

You can also access it directly via this url: https://admin.google.com/ac/apps/gmail/enduseraccess?hl=en

Step 3: Turn On Less Secure Apps On The Mailbox

Log into the specific mailbox you want to connect to Mailstand and go to this url: https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps and turn "ON" "Allow less secure apps"

Step 4: Enable IMAP

Log into the specific mailbox you want to connect to Mailstand and enable IMAP.
